Saif Powertec donates Tk 1.0m to DMCH

Saif Powertec Limited on Sunday has donated Tk 1.0 million to the Burn Unit of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) to bear the expenses required  for treatment of the patients burned during the blockade programmes.
The Saif Powertec, a listed company donated the amount as a part of its corporate social responsibility.
Tarafdar Md Ruhul Amin, managing director of the Saif Powertec handed over the cheque to Brigadier General Mustafizur Rahman, director of the DMCH, at the unit.
Shipping minister Shajahan Khan and other high officials of the DMCH and doctors were present during the cheque handover ceremony.
The Saif Powertec, a port-plastic-solar battery major, will rehabilitate 10 patients after their recovery.
Speaking at the short programme organised to mark the cheque handover shipping minister Shajahan Khan MP urged the big corporate houses to help the patients as most of them will not be able to go back to their normal lives after treatment.
