Saifur Rahman\\\'s 5th death anniv Friday

The fifth death anniversary of M Saifur Rahman, a seasoned politician and the country's longest-serving finance minister, will be observed on Friday. On this day in 2009, Saifur, also a former BNP standing committee member, died in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at the age of 77. BNP has chalked out various programmes to mark the day. As part of the programmes, a milad mahfil will be held at the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office at 10:30 am on Friday. Moulvibazar district unit of BNP has also taken different programmes, including discussions and milad mahfil, to observe the day with due respect, according toi a news agency.
