Sajek Valley of Rangamati reopens in September

Sajek Valley, an emerging tourist spot situated among the hills of the Kasalong range of mountains in Sajek of Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati, is set to reopen from September amid the Covid-19 pandemic, reports UNB.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Ahsan Habib Jitu confirmed the matter and said tourists would allowed to visit the place maintaining health guidelines.


Sajek Cottage Owners Association President Suporno Deb Barman said the resorts' owners were counting heavy losses due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The resorts would be operated following hygiene and health guidelines strictly to recover the losses, he said.
The tourist spot has been reopening after remaining closed for five months.
