Salahuddin to face legal procedures to return home: Suranjit
Tuesday, 19 May 2015
Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member Suranjit Sengupta said on Monday BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed would have to go through legal procedures to return home as none is above the law, reports BSS.
"A number of stories are being cooked up over Salahuddin issue. I have seen today (Sunday) that he (Salahuddin) has been suffering from amnesia," he said while addressing a discussion, organised by Bangabandhu Academy at the Institute of Diploma Engineers in the city.
Among others, Sammobadi Dal leader Harun Chowdhury and assistant secretary of sub-committee of central AL Narayan Deb Nath also spoke on the occasion.
"March towards development will continue. No conspiracy or destructive activities could stop the development of Bangladesh and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has become an icon leader of the world for the advance," said Suranjit, also a former minister.
The people, who misguided BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to initiate destructive activities in the name of movement to topple the government, have gone back home failing to do so, he opined.
"There is no scope of ultra extremism, militancy and politics of killing and conspiracy in the country as Sheikh Hasnia has successfully faced these with her political wisdom," the veteran AL leader added.
