Salda 3rd well to yield gas by mid-Dec

A Salda gas well, which BAPEX started digging recently, will produce 25 million cubic feet (CFT) gas every day from mid-December, authorities have said. Director of the Salda-Fenchuganj Gas Field Development Project Mohammad Shahabuddin told the bdnews24.com Monday. "Media reported that lifting of gas from the third well of Salda gas field will begin this month, but practically speaking, the development work of the well may lead into the second week of December," he said. "Once the development work is over, around 25 million CFT gas can be supplied every day using pipelines," he added. Meanwhile, people of Kasba Upazila in Brahmanbaria have started demonstrations to press for fulfillment their demand of gas supply to their area.
