Sale of eggs, chickens falls in Ctg on bird flu fear

CHITTAGONG, Feb 17: Following detection of bird flue in Chittagong, the sale of chicken and eggs have declined to a great extent.
Taking this chance, vendors have increased the price of fish, both sea and sweet water, by Tk 30 to 50 per kg. Also, beef and mutton have also registered a rise of by Tk 30 to 50 per kg.
One shopper at Chawkbazar told this correspondent that he bought ruhit fish at Tk 120 per kg only a week back. Today he bought the same fish at Tk 150 per kg.
Vegetables price have also gone up in the markets of the port city.
