Saline producing projects launched at DU

Three saline producing projects were launched at Dhaka University Tuesday to produce saline for the diarrhoea-affected people in the country's prevailing flood situation.
DU Vice-Chancellor SMA Faiz inaugurated the projects as the chief guest while Pharmacy Faculty dean Md Abdur Rashid, Biology Faculty dean Md Anwar Hossain and Jagannath University VC Serajul Islam were present among others.
Terming the saline making projects as a part of the DU relief distribution activities committee, Faiz said the whole DU family including its teachers and students are making relentless efforts to stand by the flood-hit people by distributing relief materials everyday.
On the other hand, BNP's reformists group leaders ZA Khan and Mahbubur Rahman Tuesday installed a seven-day saline making project at the TSC conference room of DU.
Some 5000 packets of saline will be provided from the project everyday for diarrhoea-affected people in flood.
