Salon owner slaughtered in Meherpur

Some miscreants slaughtered a salon owner and left his body in a mango orchard at Mujibnagar Upazila in Meherpur district on Sunday morning. The dead is Paresh Das, 40, a resident of Chuadanga district and son-in-law of Kartik Das of Ballabhpur village. He was the proprietor of a salon at Ballabhpur village. Police said locals spotted the body of Paresh, with the throat slit, lying in a mango orchard at Ballabhpur village around 7:00am. Being informed police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Meherpur General Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
