Sam Open Table Tennis begins today

The Sam Open Table Tennis Tournament, organised by Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation, begins today (Thursday) at the city's Wooden Floor Gymnasium.
Sam International (Pvt) Limited is sponsoring the three-day competition along with their other co-organisations. Some 90 participants will compete in three events of the tournament -- men's singles, women's singles and boys' singles (under-14).
Top four players from each event will receive prize money.
Industries Ministry Adviser Geetiara Safyia Chowdhury will be present in the closing ceremony as chief guest on September 8 and distribute prizes among the winners.
