Sand trader, woman killed in Savar

Unknown miscreants in separate incidents killed a sand trader and a woman in different places of Savar upazila at some times between Wednesday night and early Thursday. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Savar Model Police Station Qamruzzaman Mia said, local people found the slaughtered body of businessman Sanu Hawladar floating in Bangsai River in Amin Bazar area and informed police on Thursday morning. A team rushed to the spot from the police station and recovered the body of Sanu Hawladar, a sand trader, from Bangsai River. Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
In separate incident, police recovered the body of an unidentified woman in Nama Bazar. Hospital sources said the body bore injury marks. Police said, after receiving information from the local people, they recovered the body of the woman, aged around 40, from Nama Bazar area and sent it to the DMCH for autopsy, according to a news agency.
