Sandwip to be brought under nat’l power grid

A 80-km long submarine power cable will be installed under Bay of Bengal to bring Sandwip under national power grid. To bring Sandwip under the national power grid, a Tk 1.10 billion project has been taken, they said, adding that the government has also taken steps to operate a new ship on Chittagong-Sandwip waterway and prevent river erosion to save this island.    — BSS
