Sarsa Jamaat leader arrested

Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami at Sarsa Upazila in Jessore district on Sunday night. The arrested is Prof Faruk Hasan, nayeb-e-ameer of Sarsa Upazila unit of Jamaat and vice-principal of Baganchara Afil Uddin Degree College at the upazila. Police picked up Faruk Hasan from Jamtala Bazar at Sarsa at night. Ahmed Kabir, officer-in-charge of Sarsa Police Station, said he was arrested on charge of carrying out subversive activities at the Upazila. A case was filed, according to UNB.
