Sarwar Hossain appointed BB deputy governor

The government has appointed Bangladesh Bank (BB) Executive Director Sarwar Hossain as a deputy governor of the central bank, according to a notification issued by the Financial Institutions Division.
He has been appointed on a contractual basis for a period of three years, subject to voluntary retirement from his current post and the suspension of his post-retirement leave (PRL).
Sarwar's tenure as deputy governor will commence from the date he assumes office, while the terms and conditions of his appointment will be specified through an agreement, says the notification.
