Satkhira AL leader Abul Khayer dies

SATKHIRA, July 15 (BSS): Satkhira Sadar upazila Awami League (AL) president valiant freedom fighter M Abul Khayer died at his own residence here last night at the age of 77.
He had been suffering from old age complications, family sources said.
Khayer, also Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee's district president and former five time elected chairman of Fingri Union, was buried at his family graveyard following a namaj-e-janaza on the Gava Ideal College premises after Johr prayers.
Earlier, he was awarded a 'guard of honour' around 12.00pm.
Meanwhile UNB adds: Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of AL president of Satkhira Sadar upazila and valiant Freedom Fighter Abul Khayer Sarder.
