Sattar elected BTCCI president

Bangladesh-Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTCCI) held its 3rd annual general meeting (AGM) on July 23 in the city.
The result of the election of BTCCI office bearers was also announced during the AGM.
According to the result, K Habib Sattar has been elected president of the organisation for the term of 2007 and 2008. Alamgir Z Rahman and Santi Pongchaisopon have been elected vice presidents.
Besides, Salahuddin Abdullah and Imtiaz Farooq have been elected director administration and director finance respectively.
In addition to the above, ten directors have also been elected to the board of BTCCI.
Royal Thai Embassy Minister Counsellor Wichai Chingchana has represented the embassy on behalf of the Thai ambassador, who is the chief patron of the Chamber.
Among others, BTCCI outgoing president Rashed Maksud Khan and chief of the election board MH Rahman also spoke on the occasion.
