Saudi Arabia\\\'s envoy meets Khaleda

Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bussairy met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office on Saturday night. The nearly 2-hour-long meeting that began around 8:00pm was followed by a dinner. BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, vice chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, chairperson’s advisers Mir Mohammad Nasir Uddin, Reaz Rahman, Sabihuddin Ahmad and her Middle East affairs special envoy Enamul Haque Chowdhury were present. However, there was no briefing from either side about the meeting. Meeting sources said various issues relating to the interests of the two countries were discussed at the meeting. Bangladesh’s latest political situation also came up for discussion. The Saudi envoy thanked the BNP chief for extending her cooperation to him in discharging his duty during his tenure in Bangladesh, according to a news agency.
