Saudi govt team arrives tomorrow

A five-member high-powered Saudi government delegation led by a senior official of the Ministry of Finance, arrives in the city tomorrow (Monday).
Sources said the purpose of the visit is to monitor the ongoing flood relief and rehabilitation programmes, financed by the Saudi government.
The Saudi delegation will visit some of the worst flood-hit districts including Sirajgonj and distribute relief materials, foreign ministry sources said.
"The Saudi team during its scheduled visit will distribute at least 60,000 tonnes of rice among the flood victims," a foreign ministry sources said.
During the visit, the delegation will call on senior government officials to discuss various bilateral issues.
The delegation is expected to conclude its visit on November 8. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) extended US$ 50 million worth of aid for the Bangladeshi flood victims.
