Saudi Iqama transfer a diplomatic success: Govt

The government has termed Saudi government’s recent decision to open Iqama transfer and profession change for the Bangladesh nationals working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a ‘major diplomatic success and a milestone’ in the Bangladesh-Saudi bilateral relations. “This is a major diplomatic success of the present government,” said a media release issued by the External Publicity Wing of the Foreign Ministry. Following the latest development, all Bangladeshi workers in the Kingdom would now be able to avail themselves of the benefit of this decision by regularising their employment status as and when required, it said, according to UNB.
