Saudi teams in city to recruit medical consultants

A number of Saudi teams, both from the public and private sectors, arrived in the city Monday to recruit medical specialists and consultants from Bangladesh, reports UNB.
A spokesman of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment said the teams are expected to finalise the recruitment of about 300 medical specialists and consultants.
Another Saudi delegation representing Messers Batterjee Pharma is already in the city to recruit about 50 quality managers, operation managers and operators.
The spokesman further said interviews for the recruitment have already been lined up.
Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Adviser in charge of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry, has expressed his satisfaction at this and said, "Recruitment of skilled and professional people is in line with our policy to upgrade quality".
Meanwhile, Ministry of the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has urged the people seeking jobs abroad to pay heed to its advice to avoid unnecessary harassment.
A spokesman of the ministry has requested the job seekers to be fully aware of the terms and conditions of employment, report to the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training and the Ministry any attempt to exploit them by anyone and avoid fraudulence and malpractice with regard to visas and finally to fully abide by agreed terms and conditions.
The spokesman said a record number of workers were now going abroad and their interests could not and should not be jeopardised by the activities of a handful of people.
