Sayedee judgment a reflection of political will: Mahbub

Khandker Mahbub Hossain, the counsel for war criminal convict Jamaat-e-Islami nayeb-e-ameer Delwar Hossain Sayedee, Wednesday found a reflection of political will on the Supreme Court verdict jailing his client unto death commuting the capital punishment.
“We had hoped Sayedee would be acquitted of all the charges. But the court allowed our appeal in part. Besides, the SC order sentencing Sayedee to jail terms unto death is a departure from the law,” he said while making his instant reaction to reporters, according to a news agency.
Also president of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Khandker Mahbub said he would file a review petition after evaluating the full text of the judgment in hand.
