Bangladesh Oceangoing Ship-owners' Association (BOGSOA) elected Sayeed H Chowdhury and Md Shah Alam chairman and vice chairman respectively for a two-year term at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the company in the city recently.
Sayeed H Chowdhury is the chairman and CEO of HRC Shipping Ltd, the largest national flag carrier in the private sector. Chowdhury is the founder chairman and CEO of HRC Group and chairman of One Bank Ltd and Information Services Network Ltd (ISN). He is also a member of the British Institute of Management.
Md Shah Alam is the CEO of Continental Liner Agencies. He completed his Masters in Political Science in 1975 from Chittagong University. He has been involved in ship-owning business since 1987.
