Sayeeda Zaman passes away

Sayeeda Zaman a writer and wife of Shahiduzzaman Khan, Executive Editor of The Financial Express, died of brain cancer at the Square Hospital in the city Tuesday night.
She left behind her husband, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
Author of 20 books on poems, novels and research works, she got many literary awards for her works that include Madhusudan Award of West Bengal, Poet Jashimuddin Award, Palok Awards etc.
She was a life member of Bangla Academy, Asiatic Society and Bangladesh Itihash Parishad.
Her Kulkhwani will be held at her residence in Hatirpool area after Asr prayers Friday.
Relatives, friends and well-wishers have been requested to attend the Milad-A-Mahfil and pray for the salvation of her departed soul.
