Saying 'No' to dowry

Gift from the family of the bride to groom or his family has become the new form of dowry. Among the poor or in rural Bangladesh, some people still demand dowry during marriage. However, among the middle and rising middle class people, gift during the marriage has turned into a pressure on the family of the bride. Overall, dowry still remains a social problem. Dowry needs to be remedied to ensure women's rights in society.
