SBL holds spices loan campaign at Nilpahmari

NILPHAMARI, Mar 19 : Loan Providing Camp of Sonali Bank Ltd. on cultivation of spices was held recently in the district Head office premises of the bank. Md. Mofazzal Hossain Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Bank Rangpur attended the function as the chief guest while Lutfar Rahman, Deputy Director Bangladesh Bank Rangpur, Md. Aziamuddin Assistant General Manager Sonali Bank Ltd. Head office Dhaka, Gowsul Azam Chowdhury Assistant General Manager Sonali Bank Ltd. Nilphamari, Amarendra Nath Biswas Manager of Sonali Bank Ltd. Nilphamari, The FE Correspondent Abu Musa Mahmudul Hoque all attended as special guests. Speaking on the occasion the guests highlighted the importance of growing spices in the district as the soil of the district is very conducive for the cultivation of different kinds of spices particularly ginger, onion, garlic, pepper, turmeric and so on. They said that only 2% interest rate has been fixed for the spices loan and urged the growers to utilise the opportunity for producing more spices and bring more land under spices cultivation to make the country self reliant in this agro sector.
