SC Bar chief asks govt not to amend constitution

BARGUNA Oct 19 (bdnews24.com): Supreme Court Bar Association President Khandaker Mahbub Hossain warned the government against the constitutional amendment saying, "Losing faith in Allah will only end in trouble."
"Government's torture and oppression on opposition leaders and activists will not be tolerated any longer."
He was speaking at the introductory meeting of newly elected Barguna district BNP committee.
Calling the deaths of BNP activists in Sirajganj, under a train, a conspiracy, he blamed the government for staging a drama to harass the opposition.
