SC makes case information more accessible to people

Friday, 6 May 2011

The Supreme Court (SC) Thursday has launched a new initiative that will make court case information to the public more easily accessible, reports UNB. Building upon the court's efforts to display the list of pending cases on the internet, information on these SC cases will soon be available via mobile phone SMS. Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque, Law Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed and Country Director of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Stefan Priesner, were present at the agreement signing ceremony between the SC and a service provider. Through this new service delivery system, anyone with a mobile phone is able to send their searches to the dedicated SC SMS hotline (2233), said a press release.
