SC order on Zia Charitable Trust graft case Nov 30

The Appellate Division of Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday fixed November 30 for passing its order on 2 leave-to-appeal petitions filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in 'Zia Charitable Trust' graft case. The five-member full SC bench, headed by Chief Justice M Muzammel Hossain, set the date. Hearing on the ‘leave to appeal’ petition in Zia Charitable Trust graft case was held on Monday and the Appellate Division was scheduled to pass the order on Tuesday. On Monday, the Appellate Division dismissed two ‘leave to appeal’ petitions by Khaleda Zia over the Zia Orphanage Trust case – another graft case filed against the BNP chief by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), according to a news agency.
