SC pauses Hasina hearing

The Supreme Court Thursday heard two government appeals against bail awarded to Sheikh Hasina in two extortion cases filed by businessmen Noor Ali and Azam Jahangir Chowdhury and adjourned the hearing until Aug 26. The court also heard the government appeal against the High Court stay order on the Anticorruption Commission notice on Hasina for submission of her wealth statement. A full bench of the Appellate Division heard the appeals, which the government filed Wednesday. Corrected
