SC stays buyback order for Annisul

The Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division Sunday stayed operation of the High Court (HC) judgment that directed the majority shareholders of Desh Energy Ltd to purchase shares of the minority shareholders in the company, a lawyer said. Majority shareholders in Desh Energy Ltd are Annisul Huq, former FBCCI president, and his son Navidul Huq, while minority shareholders are Nuher L Khan, founder managing director of Desh Energy, and his sister Shahpar Saba. — FE Report
