SC stays HC order on archeological pieces shipment to Paris

Friday, 5 October 2007

The roadblocks to holding the first major international exhibition of Bangladeshi archeological masterpieces, scheduled to begin at Guimet Museum in Paris on October 23, are lifted as the Supreme Court (SC) Thursday stayed the High Court order halting for next two months the sending of 188 exhibits for the show, reports UNB.
A seven-member full hierarchy of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice M Ruhul Amin, passed the order upon application filed by the government.
