SC to hear plea on cancelling pry teachers' recruitment today

The Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned until today (Monday) its hearing on a plea challenging the High Court verdict that cancelled the process to recruit 6,531 candidates as assistant teachers at government primary schools in Dhaka and Chattogram divisions, reports BSS.
Appellate Division Judge-in-Chamber Justice Md Rezaul Haque set the date on February 18. But Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman pleaded to adjourn the hearing till today for his personal difficulties.
A three-member SC bench headed by Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam passed the order on Sunday.
Appellate Division Judge-in-Chamber Justice Md Rezaul Haque on February 18 forwarded the matter to the Appellate Division full bench for further hearing.
The apex court passed the order after holding primary hearing on the civil petition filed by the director general of Directorate of Primary Education.
