SC upholds HC judgment scrapping defamation case against Dr Yunus

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday upheld a High Court (HC) judgment that scrapped the proceedings of a defamation case against Chief Adviser of the interim government Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, reports BSS.
A three-member apex court bench headed by Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury passed the order, dismissing a state petition filed against the HC judgment.
Additional Attorney General Aneek Rushd Haque stood for the state, while advocate on record Md. Taufique Hossain appeared for Professor Yunus.
