SC upholds HC's bail to editor Mahmud

The Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday sustained the High Court (HC) orders extending bail to jailed Mahmudur Rahman, acting editor of the daily Amar Desh, in a case of obstructing the police from performing their duties, reports UNB.
After hearing both sides, a three-member Appellate Division bench, headed by Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque, passed the orders, dismissing a government plea seeking leave to appeal against July 12 HC bail order.
