SCB to collect non-immigrant visa fees of US Embassy

The US Embassy in Dhaka has announced that Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), Bangladesh will take over the responsibilities of collecting non-immigrant visa fees ($100 in Bangladesh taka equivalent) effective from July 2 (Monday), reports UNB.
Non-immigrant visa fees will no longer be accepted at Citibank, NA. For fee processing service, the SCB will assess a processing fee of Tk 100 plus applicable VAT.
The opportunity to process non-immigrant visa applications and to schedule visa interview appointments at Saimon Overseas will remain unchanged, the announcement said.
It also noted that as per an addition to the Embassy's agreement with Saimon Overseas, there would be an enhancement of its service fee.
Saimon Overseas will assess a per passport service fee of Tk 550 with effect from July 2.
