SCBA polls begin peacefully

The two-day election for the 14-member executive committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for the term 2010-2011 began Wednesday amid a peaceful atmosphere, reports UNB.
According to the election schedule, polling began at 10.00am and continued up to 5.00pm with a half-hour lunch break in between.
Out of a total of 1971 eligible voters, some 833 had cast their vote, election officials told the news agency after polls closed for the day.
