Scholastica clinch Women's H'ball title

Scholastica College clinched their maiden title of the Women's Handball beating holders Viqarunnisa Noon School and College by 3-1 goals in the last super three match at the Outer Stadium Handball ground in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
Holy Cross College became runners-up while Viqarunnisa Noon School and College finished third in the 11th version of the competition, sponsored by Delta Life Insurance Company.
In the keenly contested match, the winners led the first half 3-0.
Anushey, who scored all three goals for the winners, was adjudged best player of the match. Banna netted the lone goal for the losers.
Delta Life Insurance Chairman Syed Moazzem Hossain was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed the prizes. Delta Life Insurance Managing Director Das Dev Prasad and Handball Federation General Secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor were present.
