School, college Taekwondo begins in city

The Trust Bank National School and College Taekwondo Competition began at the National Sports Council gymnasium in the city on Wednesday, reports UNB.
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy inaugurated the two-day meet in the afternoon.
President of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation Morshed Hossain Kamal and its General Secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana were also present on the occasion. State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Shikder will be the chief guest at the closing function this (Thursday) afternoon.
Some 600 Taekwondo players from different schools and colleges are taking part in the competition.
