School for autistic children opens in Tangail

TANGAIL, Feb 17: Proyashi, a school for autistic children has started functioning on Monday morning at Shaheed Salauddin cant in Tangail. Slogan of the school is "Special child special right" to emerge as a centre of excellence with multi-dimensional activities with the objective to explore and develop to the fullest the potential of each individual with special needs and integrate them with the society.
The school was inaugurated by Mrs Rokshana Shafiq along with her husband and GOC of 19 infantry Shaheed Salauddin cant at Ghatail Major General Shafiqur Rahman.
The School runs under the patronisation of Bangladesh Army of Ghatail cant dedicated to the well-being of autistic children with special needs.
