Schoolboy dies from snakebite in Magura

A schoolboy died from snakebite at Harindi village under Sreepur Upazila in Magura district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Mehedi Hasan, 11, a class V student of a government primary school at the village and also the son of Hanif Biswas, a resident of the village. The officer-in-charge of Sreepur police station said a venomous snake bit Mehedi in the dead of night while he was asleep at his house. He died after a little while, according to UNB.
