Schoolboy hacked to death in Pabna

PABNA, July 13: A schoolboy was hacked to death in Ratanpur village of Faridpur upazila under the district on early Sunday. Police recovered the body of the victim on Sunday afternoon.
The victim Md Sajib Hossain, 12, son of Afaz Ali of village Ratanpur was a student of class six of Demra High School of the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Faridpur police station, Md Saiful Islam quoting the family members of the victim said Sajib went to Ratanpur bazar early Sunday to watch the Brazil-Netherlands match. But he did not return home.
Later, was found dead and police recovered his body from near the flood protection dam of the village at about 2.30pm on Sunday, the OC said.
He was chopped to death as his body bore marks of injuries by sharp weapons, the OC said. Police sent the body to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Another report from Our Correspondent says: A minor boy was killed as lightning strike hit him in Diar Baghail village of Ishwardi upazila in Pabna Saturday.
The deceased Md Jihad Hossain, 11, son of Tipu Pramanik of village Diar Baghail of Ishwardi upazila under the district was a student of class five of Baghail Government Primary School.
