Schoolboy killed, father hurt in road accident

A Class-I student was killed and his father injured as a truck crashed into a motorbike on Jessore-Benapole Highway in Jhikargachha Upazila in Jessore district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Nur Hamim, 7. The injured is Sirajul Islam. Police said a Jessore-bound truck from Benapole hit the motorbike of Sirajul while he was taking his son to his madrasa, leaving Hamim dead on the spot and Sirajul injured. He was first admitted to Jhikargachha Upazila health complex and later sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated, according to UNB.
