Schoolgirl killed after abduction

Body of a schoolgirl, kidnapped from Keraniganj thana on February 26, was recovered from a paddy field at Dhutrabari under Shibalaya Upazila Sunday, reports UNB from Manikgonj.
Police and victim's family said Onamika Ghosh (9), class III student of Pacific Kindergarten, and daughter of Sudharam Ghosh of Brahmanpur village under Keraniganj thana, was kidnapped on her way home from school.
Her kidnappers later demanded a ransom of Tk 1.0 million from her parents.
An abduction case was filed with Keraniganj thana.
Local police said the miscreants killed the girl sometime Saturday night.
Police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. A murder case was filed in this connection
