Schoolgirl 'raped by teacher' in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, May 21: A teacher of a government primary school in Satkania upazila of Chattogram district has allegedly raped a five-year-old student after luring her with chocolate.
The accused is identified as Md Jasim, an assistant drawing teacher at South Keochia Government Primary School in Satkania of Chattogram. The victim is a class I student of the same school.
Following a petition filed by the victim's mother, a court yesterday (Wednesday) directed Satkania thana to record a case, arrange an examination at the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC), and submit an investigation report.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Satkania Circle) Md Ariful Islam Siddique said, "When the victim's mother came to the police station with the complaint, we advised her to go to the One-Stop Crisis Centre of Chattogram Medical College Hospital. The case was supposed to be recorded after that."
