Schoolteacher killed in Sirajganj road accident

A schoolteacher was killed in a road accident at Harinchara Bazar area on the Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj district on Thursday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Afsar Ali, 39, a teacher of Pustigasha Banani Girls High School, a resident of Baraigati village of the upazila. Police said the accident took place when a Bhotbhoti (locally assembled shallow engine-run human hauler) collided head-on with a motorcycle around 4pm and left Afsar dead on the spot. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
