Sea Resources, Danish co sign jt venture deal

Sea Resources Limited and Danish fishing gear expert Cosmos Trawl (a part of the international Hampidjan Group), have signed an agreement to enter the third phase of their Danida-supported B2B project.
After one year trial partnership, it will enter into a joint venture, under the name of SRL -- Cosmos Trawl Limited, said a press release.
The new company will be based at Ichanagar/Sardarghat in Chittagong, headed by Lars Jensen (Cosmos) as managing director and Cosmos Chief Technical Adviser Eirikur H Sigurgeirsson, who will be stationed in Chittagong from January 2010, will look after day-to-day affairs.
Mr A Rouf Chowdhury will be the chairman of the venture.
Construction of a new 1500 sqm net loft will begin soon, in the meantime activities will continue from SRL's current operation along side Fishers Shipyard.
