SEANZA Central Banking Course begins

The 29th SEANZA Central Banking Course began in a city hotel Sunday. The 5-day long course will put focus on deeper thoughts in the area of monetary policy and financial stability as well as other concerned areas of central banking issues. Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Shitangshu Kumar Sur Chowdhury inaugurated the event. Emeritus Prof., Birmingham University, Dr. Peter Sinclair is the resource person of this course being participated by 14 countries."The occasion is a manifestation of the brotherly relations that bind not only Bangladesh and SEANZA, but also Asia and Oceania as whole. At the same time, this event is in line with the ongoing cooperation between SEANZA and the beneficiary Asian and Oceania countries since 1956, as a good model of South-South Cooperation," the BB deputy governor said, according to a statement of Bangladesh Bank.
