Speakers at a seminar on Saturday observed that seaweed can play a vital role in meeting growing demand for food and nutrition with the increase of country’s population. The coastal area of Bangladesh has vast potentials of seaweed cultivation and it can be cultivated integrally with shrimp, they said while speaking at a seminar on ’Expanding the horizon of opportunities: Potential of seaweed’ organised by the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) at its auditorium at Agargaon in the city. The PKSF organised the seminar as part of its yearlong programmes to celebrate the silver jubilee, according to a news agency.
