SEBL workshop on 'IT security in banking' held

Southeast Bank Limited (SEBL) recently organised a workshop on 'IT Security in Banking and Financial Institute' in collaboration with Australian 'Witham Laboratories' for the banking community.
SEBL Senior Executive Vice-president and head of IT SM Mainuddin Chowdhury inaugurated the workshop.
Senior Security Engineer Mohammad Mahmudul Islam and Australian Witham Lab Chief Executive Officer Steve Robert delivered their keynote presentation on risk and security aspect of online banking in the workshop.
IT security personnel of different banks -- Southeast Bank Limited, Bangladesh Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited, City Bank and Eastern Bank limited -- took part in the workshop, said a press release.
The workshop was very much relevant to the present scenario of banking where banks are using technology based solutions for day to day operation.
