Sec 144 at Hajiganj over BNP committee

CHANDPUR, Sept 27: The local administration imposed Section 144 at Rampur in Hajiganj upazila from Saturday evening to Sunday evening as two factions of BNP called their programmes at the same venue and time on Sunday.
The restriction will remain in force till 6pm on Sunday.
Sheikh Mohammad Murshidul Islam, upazila nirbahi officer of Hajiganj made the announcement on Saturday evening.
Police said the Kalochow Dakhin union BNP committee arranged a programme on the Rampur High School ground for forming a committee on Sunday afternoon while the followers of upazila BNP convener Alamgir Kabir also announced a meeting at the same venue at the same time.
Apprehending trouble, the local administration announced the restriction to maintain the law and order.
