FE Report
The securities regulator sits with stakeholders today (Monday) to discuss the present stock market situation in an effort to find out market-supportive solutions, officials said.
The move comes after the regulator's concern over the sharp declining trend of the country's stock market, which witnessed again the downtrend last week and lost 3.09 per cent. On the first trading day Sunday, the DSE general index (DGEN) shed 3.39 per cent or 194.40 points.
The representatives of both the bourses of the country, Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA) and asset management companies will attend Monday's meeting, called by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
